On Saturday July 29th in Salt Lake City at UFC 291, Miranda jumped into the octagon to take on Priscila Cachoeira after taking this short notice fight just a week ago. She knew that she had to be careful and stay focused because Cachoeira has been known to do some questionable things during her fights. She did exactly that, which only fueled Miranda’s anger more throughout the third round. She wanted to make sure Priscila was tired and drained by the time she tried the submission and that’s exactly what happened. Maverick caught her in an armbar at 2:11 in the third round making the referee stop the fight. We all knew Miranda was out for blood and that she wasn't leaving Salt Lake City without a victory.
