On Saturday January 21, 2023 in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, Daniel Marcos fought and defeated Brazil’s own Saimon Oliverira (18-5) in the second round by knees to the body. In round 1 just about 30 seconds into the fight, Oliveira tried a takedown, but Marcos was able to defend and circle out. Both were landing some punches but Oliveria started to become sloppy by throwing spinning attacks which never came close to Marcos. In round 2, Oliveira tried yet another spinning backfist and completely missed him. Marcos then capitalized with a body kick that shook him. Marcos then finished the fight with body and head shots that ultimately made the ref call the fight. Daniel now advances to an impressive 14-0 record. What a way to start off 2023!
