On Saturday June 3 in Las Vegas Nevada at UFC Fight Night, Da’Mon Blackshear took on Luan Lacerda. After coming off a loss from back in March, Da’Mon knew he had to get things going from the start. That is exactly what he did. He pretty much dominated Lacerda in the first round, applying pressure when he needed to and pushing the pace, trying to get Lacerda down on the mat. Blackshear was successfully able to trip him on the outside and get him down to the mat. The first round ended with Lacerda attempting a takedown of his own on Blackshear and managed to get him up against the cage, but things were still looking ok for Da'Mon. Going into the second round, Lacerda tried to get Da’Mon in a leg lock, but Da’Mon ended up on top and started to deliver a number of punches to the head. The referee had to step in and called it at 3 minutes and 45 seconds into the second round. This is Da’Mon’s first win in the UFC! Congratulations on your win. Stay tuned for some more fight news!
